The number of passports issued in Brazil grows every year. According to the Federal Police (PF), 2.1 million Brazilians had the document in 2011-500 million more than the previous year and almost a million above the number 2009. Partial numbers from 2012 show that, until the 18th of October, 1,589,239 were issued passports.
